Synopsis: Rondo recounts the exile of Simon Miller, a young boy of 13, and his grandfather, Abraham Field, in 1943.
Simon’s parents can no longer guarantee his safety in Belgium. They are increasingly facing anti-Semitic attacks and are forced into hiding. Abraham knows an escape route across the English Channel, but there is only one place left. Simon is entrusted to him and they set off together on a journey that takes them to the English countryside. In England, Simon and Abraham are horrified to learn about the reality of the Holocaust. All their close friends and relatives have probably disappeared. Together, they overcome their differences and the problems of exile to finally make their mourning bearable.
