Synopsis: The series tells us the story of a daughter of a gin maker, Helena, who lost her first love in hazy circumstances during World War II. She then married his best friend and took over the running of the distillery when she lost her father. Her whole life is marked by doubts about the real causes of the accident that lead to the death of the man that she loved.
